Melissa Baria DiFatta has over twenty years of legal experience, the vast majority of which has centered on employment law and as Corporate General Counsel. She has now focused her practice in family law and chancery matters, including divorce, custody, adoption, and wills and estates. Melissa has a heart for those in need and will be actively working to help at-risk children and their parents.
Melissa is the mother of a brilliant teenage son, and wife to an incredible artist, Tony. They live in Ocean Springs and enjoy what small-town coastal living has to offer.
Melissa received her Bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi. After working several years as an accountant, Melissa returned to school at the University of Mississippi, where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 1996.
Melissa serves on several boards, including the Ohr-Okeefe Museum of Art and CASA MS, and is a member of the Mississippi Bar, serving on the Child Welfare and Child Advocacy Committee.
Melissa is proud to represent many fathers, same-sex couples, grandparents, and anyone who loves and cares for a child. She will serve her clients without prejudice, and all are welcome in our office.
